The Comeuppance

The Comeuppance: is a play that follows a group of friends rekindling their relationships while pre-gaming for their 20th high school anniversary. Meanwhile, Death lurks around the corner, confronting them all with its inevitability. The entire play takes place on the lawn of a house over the course of a single day. Therefore, there is a continuous, time-shifting neighborhood ambience.

The concept for this sound design is realism, broken only by Death. Death speaks through and affects several characters. In those moments, we sharply and unmistakably depart from the grounded reality established throughout the play.
